Wolf At The Door: A Destroyer?
There's a historical/mythological current of the wolf lurking outside our normal world, waiting to pounce at fatal weakness, consuming and destroying totally.
The supreme consumer? A force of destruction? Or a sign of rebirth at the ebbing of life?
Wolf At The Door: A Predator
The Big Bad Wolf is also seen as preying on the vulnerable, signalling the end of innocence.
But the Bad Wolves can also be the bringers of dangerous knowledge of how the world really is, rather than just how we perceive it.
Could the Big Bad Wolf be someone?
Is the Big Bad Wolf someone we've met - could it be The Doctor, Rose... or even Jackie Tyler?
Perhaps the Bad Wolf is either an innocent guarding a dangerous secret, or someone who has been manipulating events from behind the scenes without us even realising.
What are Mickey's motivations, for instance? What happened to Captain Jack during the two missing years of his life? What's so special about Rose that the Doctor wants to travel with her? What is Jackie Tyler really worried about?
Could the Bad Wolf in fact be Adam? When he left the Doctor he took with him the knowledge of all of human history for the next 200,000 years. If he isn't directly involved in the Bad Wolf, surely he knows all of the hints spread through history.
Is the Big Bad Wolf an object?
Is it a mistake to think it's a person? Perhaps it's an object... a unique one.
We know that the TARDIS can alter Rose and the Doctor's perceptions of the world so that they can understand alien languages... perhaps it's responsible for placing the clues about Bad Wolf all around them?
If so, why? What is the TARDIS trying to warn them about?
